We would like to invite you to the FinTech Roadmap conference focused on current FinTech trends and their dynamic development. The aim of the conference is to present world trends in the most discussed areas of financial technology. Four panel discussions are prepared for you:
- Trendy ve FinTech,
- Asset Management,
- Crowdfunding/Lending,
- Cryptocurrency.
You can look forward to presentations from leading Czech fintech players. Speakers include Pavel Kysilka, Chairman of the Board of 6D Academy, former CNB Governor responsible for the introduction of the Czech crown in the 1990s, Danuše Nerudová, Rector of Mendel University and Chair of the Commission for Fair Pensions, Adam Šoukal of Roger. who, together with Alza, create a financial product for accelerated payment of invoices, the so-called Alza Invoice Financing, or Jan Budík from Signals Network, which creates a unique marketplace for providing signals for trading cryptocurrencies and many other interesting people in Czech FinTech.

Michal Dufek
Michal is the Head of Data Analysis Development at CYRRUS ADVISORY. He is in charge of software development for Asset Management and Risk Management, ie tools for accelerating and refining the work of analysts or automatic trading systems.
Michal graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, Faculty of Informatics and Statistics. His research and development activities include data analysis, Bayesian statistics and time series modeling. He is currently finishing his postgraduate studies at Mendel University in Brno.
Dominik Stroukal
Dominik is a Czech economist and a leading cryptocurrency expert. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Economics in Prague and the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, where he studied media sociology. He is a former director of the Liberal Institute and former president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. One of his greatest interests are cryptocurrencies, he is co-author of the best-selling book in the Czech Republic on this topic. In addition, Dominik is Chief Economist of the Payment institution Rogen, an innovative FinTech company that focuses on shortening invoices due dates.

Adam Šoukal
Adam worked at the financial epicenter of Europe – City of London, at Santander, where he was in charge of credit products for companies and corporations. In this environment, he got inspired and, thanks to his job in a bank, he knew what problems caused long invoices due dates for SMEs and what opportunities this situation represents.
Therefore, he returned to the Czech Republic, where he founded Payment Institution Roger (formerly Investment Auction), linking the demand of companies for quick financing of issued invoices and investors who finance invoices. Since its inception, Roger has conducted more than 10,000 investment auctions and has financed over 3 billion crowns.
In collaboration with partners, Roger is launching other innovative financial technologies, such as Alza Invoice Financing. At the conference, Adam will present how FINTECH startup can successfully scale its services through cooperation with the largest e-commerce player in the Czech Republic.
Pavel Kysilka
Pavel is the founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of 6DAcademy and previously worked as the CNB Governor. In the 1990s, he was responsible for introduction of the Czech crown and, as an expert of the International Monetary Fund, he participated in the introduction of national currencies in a number of Eastern European countries. He was also CEO and Chief Economist of Česká spořitelna. He was elected Banker of the Year three times. He is also the president of Smetana’s Litomyšl Festival.
The conference will address the digital revolution and its impact on business, economy and society.
Miroslav Majer
Miroslav is the founder and CEO of Hypo na míru s.r.o., which mediates mortgages through online platform hyponamiru.cz, offers their conditions comparison, pre-approval and refinancing. The company has developed a technology that can compare over 25,000 mortgage combinations to ensure that the customer always has the best deal.
Danuše Nerudová
Danuše Nerudová is a Czech economist, rector of Mendel University in Brno and chair of the Commission for Fair Pensions. She struggles, for example, to equalize the pensions of men and women or to take greater account of the care of sick family members in the pension system. She has also been involved in taxation for many years.
At the conference, she will conduct the second panel discussion on Asset Management.
Lumír Schejbal
Lumír is a founding partner of the law firm SCHEJBAL & KOPEČNÝ, specializing in securities and financial markets law, ie services such as establishment and licensing of investment funds, payment institutions, securities dealers, anti-money laundering (AML), issues and corporate bond prospects and much more.
Lumír graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Law, he worked as a lawyer and compliance officer for ATLANTIK finanční trhy, a.s. and CYRRUS, a.s. In 2007, he founded his own law firm. He is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Capital Market Association. He works as an external lecturer at the Faculty of Law of MU.
Ivo Ščuka
Ivo is a co-owner and sales director of Money store s.r.o., the operator of the proplat.to service. The service accumulates offer of independent P2P investors and implements factoring – financing of invoices, receivables with longer maturities. In the field of non-bank financial services and outsourcing, he has held managerial positions for several decades, working as an expert in the field of outsourcing and TCO costs. He worked as a sales director at Fraikin, as well as ČSOB Leasing or Business Lease.
At the conference, he will share the specifics of Crowdfunding.
Pavel Kohout
Pavel began his career in finance and investment in 1993. In 2016, after years of research and development, he founded Robot Asset Management SICAV (or QUANT Fund). He developed an innovative approach to market valuation, asset class weighting and portfolio management. This approach is now used by QUANT and Algorithmic Investment Management. The Robot Investment Calculator application, developed by Pavel, is a unique computational and analytical tool that will help investors avoid bubbles in the stock market, or take advantage of an undervalued market. It is a tool for financial advisors, institutional investors, finance students and informed private investors.
Svatopluk Kapounek
Associate professor at the Department of Finance, research worker at the PEF Research Center at Mendel University in Brno and Vice-Dean for Science and Research. He teaches at the PEF of Mendel University in Brno: Capital Markets, International Finance, International Investment Management, Financial Data Analysis. In his scientific work, he focuses on econometrics and static processing of time series and panel data using Bayesian approach and time-varying models. He is also President of the Czech Economic Society.
During the conference, Svatopluk will introduce possibilities of scoring of crowdfunding projects and how it is influenced by herding behavior. The research is based on a dataset of 2 million projects, about 15 millions of observations from more than 80 countries and several hundred platforms.
Jiří Kobelka
Jiří is the founder and CEO of Tatum, which provides a platform for rapid development of applications based on blockchain technology, all through a single API.
Jiří also works as a consultant at FinTech4Good, where he helps connect innovators with global network in North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. He helps innovative companies enter foreign markets and gain mentoring from global leaders in financial technology.
Tomáš Kopečný
Tomáš is a partner of the law firm and also a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University.
Tomáš specializes in issues of securities, public offering of securities using the prospectus and legal issues with foreign overlap.
During the conference, he will focus on Crowdfunding and the new regulations currently underway in this area.
Jan Budík
Honza graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, where he studied Cybernetics and Automation. He also received a doctorate from the Faculty of Business and Management in the field of Business Management and Economics, focusing on free capital management in financial markets. Both at Brno University of Technology, where he still operates and leads courses focused on financial market programming and economic data analysis.
Honza works as a lead product designer at Signals Network and creates a trading platform that allows testing and executing trading strategies on the cryptocurrency market. The project created SGN cryptocurrency, which will be used within the Signals-ecosystem to purchase strategies, indicators and data streams.
His other work experience includes development of financial market analysis tools and their introduction into production.
Igor Štverka
Igor is the founder of Dolvea Innovation, which focuses on the importance of values and human factor in business. As a consultant, lecturer and coach, he focuses on three inseparable aspects of digital transformation and Industry 4.0:
- Application of digital technologies in effective creation of added value,
- Update business requirements, approaches and models,
- Transforming the way people work as an essential source of future competitive advantage.
He studied mechanics of numerically controlled machine tools, technical cybernetics at the Department of Automation and Measurement, Brno University of Technology, MBA at Sheffield Hallam University and coaching at Integral Coaching Canada. In his professional career, he worked in managerial and expert positions, especially in IT sector, participated in projects in manufacturing, energetics, telecommunications, banking, healthcare, public administration, non-profit sector, etc. He is interested in application of the Integral Theory framework (formulated by American psychologist and philosopher Ken Wilber) into the practice of organization management, business development, politics, community building, as well as interpersonal relationships and personal life.
David Musil
David is the CEO and co-founder of the investment platform Upvest.cz, which offers easy investments in development projects. The goal is to raise money for builders by participating in debt financing, which was a pioneering move from a young Czech company. During its existence it has already mediated investments for more than 143 million crowns.
David will be part of the third panel on Crowdfunding, where he will also be the opening speaker.
Jiří Fuchs
Jiří is the main initiator and chairman of the Technology Platform for Communication Tools and the Internet of Things which is the conference organizer. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. He is experienced in the field of scientific research projects and also participates at the Council for Commercialization at the Academy of Sciences in České Budějovice.
